We believe that access to food is a basic human right, not a privilege. No one should go hungry. From September 12th to October 4th, help us support local families and the food bank with non-perishable food items.
What to donate:
Most non-perishable food items have either best before or expiry dates stamped or printed on them. All items donated must be checked to ensure that they have not exceeded their expiry and/or best before dates as such items must be removed from distribution and discarded by the agency.
The best non-perishable foods to donate are:
- canned beans.
- dry beans.
- peanut butter, or other nut butters.
- rolled oats.
- canned fruit in juice, not in light or heavy syrup.
- canned vegetables, with no or low-sodium.
- low-sodium soups.
- canned tuna in water.
How to get us your food donation:
If you have non-perishable food to donate, you can drop it off at Northern Horizon Barrie or Innisfil during business hours.
We appreciate all your donations!
